The ¾” Stainless Steel Bulkhead Fitting is innovation at its finest. Designed to make the installer’s job as easy as possible, this tank bulkhead fitting features small grooves on the nut threads making it easy for a wrench to hold it tight while installing the bulkhead on your storage tank or adding additional plumbing.
Manufactured of high quality 316 Stainless Steel, this bulkhead is ideal for use across many industries. It comes with an EPDM gasket – a versatile, durable synthetic rubber great for water, DEF, liquid feed and many other applications. Its ¾” female NPT port is threaded all the way through, meaning you can attach plumbing such as a siphon tube, anti-vortex cap, outlet filter, or anything else you may need on the inside of the tank.
Installing a bulkhead requires some skill. If you have never done it before, YouTube has some great how to videos. For our ¾” bulkhead, you will need to drill a 1 5/16” hole, and then use a 2” wrench to tighten the nut on the outside. Remember, bulkhead nuts are reverse threaded, so it is lefty tighty! A 1 1/8” wrench can hold the bulkhead body. Please note that the back flange of the bulkhead measures 2 1/4” at its widest – be sure there is enough flat space on the interior of the tank wall to accommodate this before drilling your hole.

**Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance due to a very thin oxide layer that covers the outside of the material. Because of this, metal to metal connections and especially stainless to stainless connections are particularly prone to galling or seizing. Be sure to use a sealant and/or lubricant appropriate for your application on all threaded connections. Contact us if you have questions!
